S-211, Portable Pumps and Water Use

 
  Course Description:  This hands-on course is designed to give the student the knowledge and competency in the use of portable pumps.  The course consists of three skill areas:  supply, delivery and application of water.  Upon completion students will be required to demonstrate their knowledge of correct water use, basic hydraulics and equipment care.  The examination process involves a field exercise requiring correct set up and operation to maintain the appropriate flow of water through various hose lays and into holding tanks as well as a written exam.  (24 hours)
