S-215, Fire Operations in the Wildland/Urban Interface

 
 

Course Description: This course is designed to assist structure and wildland firefighters who will be making tactical decisions when confronting wildland fire that threatens life, property and improvements, wildland/urban interface.  (32 hours)  Instructors:  JOHN P. HARRIS, LACo Fire
Department (Retired)
, CSFM/NWCG Cadre Instructor and Nationally Recognized Wildland Fire Expert and Accident Investigator

Prerequisites
: I-200 Basic ICS, individuals must have basic knowledge of structure and or wildland fire fighting operations.  Students must also be familiar with and understand their agency’s policy as it relates to Wildland/Urban Interface Fires.

(A PRE-COURSE ASSIGNMENT WILL BE SENT TO THE HOST AGENCY.  PLEASE CONTACT THE HOST AGENCY FOR AVAILABLE PICKUP TIMES.  EACH STUDENT IS TO COMPLETE THE ASSIGNMENT PRIOR TO THE CLASS START DATE)
