NIMS ALL HAZARD ICS-200/S-131, Firefighter Type 1 Advanced Training - Julian/Cuyamaca FPD

This course is part 2 in the Firefighter Series towards advancement to NWCG FFT-1 qualifications and is designed to meet the training needs of the NWCG Firefighter Type 1 (FFT1) as well as continue with the nationally recognized standards for Basic ICS enhanced to; NIMS ALL HAZARD ICS-200. Topics covered will include: Incident Management with emphasis on All HAZARD incidents; Referencing fireline and ICS materials; Communications; and Decision Making. Firefighters will be required to demonstrate their ability to apply information received through lecture and student materials during individual and group classroom exercises.
A Pre-Course Assignment will be included with the student materials and will be made available for pick-up at the address below 14-days prior to the start of the class. This Assignment will be part of your overall course grade.
A free Firefighter Type 1 (FFT1) Task Book download is available at www.nwcg.gov/pms/pms.htm and clicking on Task Books. Students bringing Task Books to class for signature must first have them properly INITIATED by their Fire Chief or Training Officer.

DON WILL, Deputy Chief, Fire Operations/Tahoe National Forest (Retired), CSFM Cadre Instructor, National Incident Management System (NIMS) Cadre Instructor, IMT- Operations Section Chief Type 1 (OSCT1) and IMT- Safety Officer Type 1 (SOF1)
Prerequisites:
The first day of class students will show proof of ICS-100, Introduction to ICS and S-130, FireFighter Training or the Basic FF course (S-130/190/L-180) Certification - MANDATORY.
ICS-100 Certification can be from NWCG, SEMS, CSFM or NIMS.
