S-215, Fire Operations in the Wildland/Urban Interface - Susanville FD

This course is designed to assist structure and wildland firefighters who will be making tactical decisions when confronting wildland fire that threatens life, property and improvements in the wildland/urban interface. Topics covered will include: interface awareness, size-up, initial strategy and incident action plan, structure triage and protection tactics, firefighter safety and more.

0830 - 1700 (Typical - the Instructor will set the class hours at the first class meeting)

Prerequisites: 
Qualified as a Fire Fighter Type 1 (FFT1)
Students must have basic knowledge of structure and or wildland fire fighting operations
Students must also be familiar with and understand their agency’s policy as it relates to Wildland/Urban Interface Fires
